KUALA LUMPUR (December 12, 2013) – Eupe Corporation Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading property developers in northern Malaysia, today announced it was staging one of the biggest entertainment events ever in that region.

The Planet Eupe Music Fest on March 1, 2014 will showcase some of the biggest and best music acts from around Asia as well as Malaysia. The event was announced this morning at a press conference h…eld at Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel.

The event is set to take place at Eupe’sCarnivall Water Park, located within the CintaSayang Resort in Sungai Petani, Kedah. The Planet Eupe Music Fest will be headlined by Mandopop star Wang Lee Hom, who is one of Asia’s most recognised and popular artistes.

Support acts for the night include Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna, popular South Korean K-Pop boy band, U-KISS and Taiwanese electro-pop sensation, Jeannie Hsieh. Other local acts in the line-up include Orange Tan, NajwaLatif, Da.Mon.Ster, Kah Jun and Mint G.

The Planet Eupe Music Fest will also feature the final to choose Malaysia’s entrant for the 2014 Hip Hop International Dance Championship which will be held in Las Vegas, USA. The WonderLand+ is the event management for the Planet Eupe Music Fest.

According to Eupe Corporation Berhad Managing Director, DatoBeh Huck Lee, the event has the potential to change the music and cultural landscape of the northern region. The company is keen on making the Planet Eupe Music Fest an annual event and views it as an integral part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support and invest in the local communities in which it operates.

“Eupe Corporation Berhad is excited to host this event. We want not only to mark an exciting new chapter in the company’s history – which is Eupe’s entry into the Kuala Lumpur property market next year – with this event but also showcase northern Malaysia to the world,” said DatoBeh.

“We’re staging this world-class music festival to express our thanks to the people of northern Malaysia who have been integral to the company’s success for over a quarter of a century and we want to recognise their support by staging an entertainment event of this scale at their doorstep,” he added.

“The Planet Eupe Music Fest isn’t just a platform for local upcoming artists – it will bring some of the biggest international names in Asia to Malaysia and show that even local townships such as Sungai Petani can successfully host a major music event for the nation.”

A total of 20,000 tickets for the Planet Eupe Music Fest will go on sale from December 18, 2013 and there will be four price bands – RM90 (free standing), RM190 (free standing), RM290 (numbered seat) and RM390 (numbered seat).
